The Centre for Research, Training and publications (CRTP) organized a workshop on Reflective Peace Practice together with validation of 2024 Conflict Monitoring Tool (CMT) research findings in Ethiopia, South Sudan and DRC in the month of November, 2024. The workshops were held between 7th to 9th November, 2024 in South Sudan, 15th to 18th November, 2024 in DRC and 20th to 22nd November, 2024 in Ethiopia. There were 12 participants trained per country and they were drawn from various disciplines such as academia, peace practitioners, religious institutions, government, civil society organizations, as well as local administrations. The first session of the workshop was validation of the findings of the 2024 Conflict Monitoring Tool (CMT) research done by CRTP. The findings presented conflict levels, drivers and actors of conflict, challenges as well as possible peace interventions for peace stability in South Sudan, DRC and Ethiopia. The second session entailed training of the participants on reflective peace practice and digital peace building. The training was mainly open and interactive discussion capturing the theory of change, reflective peace practices, conflict analysis, and digital peace-building. The use of social media and arts was much echoed by the participants as a way of promoting peace among the youths. This will give  the youths an opportunity to come together to share, develop and nurture ideas on how to promote peace and human rights advocacy through the application of artivism, digital skills and technology.
