The Centre for Research Training and Publication (CRTP) organized a two-day training for group leaders and field coordinators from Migori and Kwale under the project of Environmental Advocacy Support in Extractive Industry (EASEI) in Nairobi. A total of 8 leaders were trained on leadership, project planning and management, tree nursery establishment as well as tree management practices.
The main objectives of the training were
- To equip the leaders with group leadership and organizational skills for the management and coordination of the group activities.
- To improve the project management skills of the group leaders and the project field coordinators.
- To train the leader on tree management practices and tree nursery establishment skills for management of trees for improved environmental sustainability and protection.
Upon completion of the training, the leaders appreciated CRTP for organizing such insightful and informative training and they promise to share the knowledge with the group members for successful management of the project and group activities as well as environmental projection.
